The Black Shed is located near to Mudgee on a small family vineyard. Conceived as a solution for family overflow accommodation and part time holiday accommodation, the building embraces the use of traditional timber framing techniques along side classic Australian corrugated metal cladding. The open plan main living area makes full use of the full height raked ceilings that gives great views northward across the vineyard.
 

Accommodation is split over two bedrooms, one up and one down with their own bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom enjoys a deep bath with views over your toes to the rural outlook. All modern conveniences abound with air conditioning cozy fireplace and a well equipped galley style kitchen with dining. Outdoor veranda offers BBQ and a fire pit to provide even more options for settling in and relaxing.

 

Tall Timber Constructions won the Housing Industry Association "Custom Built Home" award for their work on the Black Shed.
